Trimester Goal: The student will identify simple rhythm patterns written as musical notation.
Lesson Goal: Students will begin learning about new Composer of the Month, continue or be introduced to “When Marian Sang” story about Marian Anderson the Opera Singer. Students will also complete Persuasive writing assignment except Hunter’s Class, that goes along with the Marian Anderson story.

*”Welcome Back Students! I hope everyone had a great weekend! Today we are going to continue with our story, “When Marian Sang,” and do a quick writing assignment at the end. For those classes that started this story with me, can someone give us a recap of what is going on so far?

3) Composer of the Month: Beethoven: Continue with video Beethoven lives upstairs if needed:15/ or Marian Anderson story

4)Persuasive Writing Assignment: Students will write on the behalf of Marian Anderson, that she should be allowed/or not allowed to perform at Constitution Hall. Read letters for Hunter’s class, who got it done last week.
