*”Welcome Back Students! I hope everyone had a great weekend! Today we are going to continue working on identifying and saying rhythms. Everyone seems to be getting really good at this skill. Today, we are going to continue learning about Scott Joplin, an American Composer! Did anyone hear his famous song, “The Entertainer,” over the weekend? At the end of class, we are going to revisit our song called, “Feelin’ Good.”

3) Composer of the Month: Scott Joplin: Students will learn two quick facts about who he was, and his music.
*Standard 4: Understand, analyze, and describe the arts in their historical, social, and cultural context.
4)Rhythm Identifier Cards: Students will say rhythms out loud within measures, set to music.
5)Feelin’ Good song: Students will learn second half of song.
*Art. M. II.3.6: Use vocal, instrumental, and physical responses to a selection presented in 3rd. grade.
