Trimester Goal: The student will complete a written assessment on reading notes on treble clef.
Lesson Goal: Students will continue working on note reading, learn about our new composer of the month, and play the first note on the recorder.
1) Morning/Afternoon Message *”Welcome Back Students! I hope everyone had a great weekend. Today in Music we are going to continue working on note reading. Last week we didn’t do so well with the recorders, and following directions. What do you think we can do that will make our time successful today, where we will get a chance to play them?
*ART.M.I.4.9 Use a system to read quarter notes and rests, eighth notes
and rests, half notes and rests, whole notes and rests.
5) Recorders: Students will learn proper handling technique of the recorder, and play the first note.
