Lesson Goal: Students will continue BBC documentary on Beethoven, and be introduced to Venn Diagram’s, and song, “Knowledge is Power
1) Morning/Afternoon Message *”Welcome Back Students! Today in Music we are going to begin/continue learning about our new composer of the month, work on completing a Venn Diagram on similarities and differences between Beethoven and Mozart that we know of up to date. Remember, your final for this trimester will be next week, so please pay attention.
2)Warm Up exercises :5
3)Students will begin learning about Beethoven: Students will watch short video on the composer.
*Standard 4: Understand, analyze, and describe the arts in their historical, social, and cultural context
4) Venn Diagram comparison of the two composers :10
5)Song, “Knowledge is Power” Students will continue learning song, and the meaning of the lyrics.
